Who is the course for

For adults who have a real interest in gaining an introduction to 2D drawing techniques using AutoCAD 2012/13.

Course Content

Basic 2D commands including: command line data input techniques, setting up the AutoCAD environment mirror, copy, blocks, rotate, UCS, array, extend, trim, ISO plane, dimensions, offset, move and copy.

Study Methods

Using AutoCAD 2012/13 via example drawings as exercises, demonstration, group tuition, individual support, Q&A.

How is the course assessed

There is no formal assessment but students are encouraged to build a portfolio of drawings. Guidance and feedback will be given throughout the course.

Where next - Further Studies

The skills learned will enable students to create plans and diagrams e.g for home extensions, landscaped gardens etc. and be useful in many businesses.
