Applying Online
Submitting your application online makes it easier, as you can add exam grades and upload your certificates, which will save you time when you come in to complete your enrolment.
1. Find your course
- Click 'courses' from the main menu to view our courses by subject list or use our course explorer
- On the subject page you can 'browse courses', select your level and then choose your course. On the course information page, click on the 'apply now' or ‘enrol now’ button.
2. Create an account
To start your application, you will first need to create an account and fill in your registration details.
Some courses will also enable you to select your own interview, however if none of the interview times/dates are suitable you can tick a box to request a member of the team to get in touch to arrange one.
We will keep in touch with you via email, phone and SMS and you can log in anytime to your account to manage your details and check the progress of your application, by using the application 'login' link, which can also be found on the footer of the website.

Still not decided?
Enquire about a course
Click the blue 'enquire' button on the course page. Create your account if you have not already done so and you can log back in at any time (using the Learner Hub link in the footer of the website) to see your enquiry details. We will be in touch with you within two working days of your enquiry being submitted. Once you are ready to apply make sure you come back to the relevant course page and click the ‘apply now’ or ‘enrol now’ button.
If you would like to talk to someone about your options, our information, advice and guidance team can give you free advice and guidance. Our specialist staff can also advise you if you have qualifications that are from outside the UK and you would like to find out how they can help you study at our College.

What happens after you apply?
Once you have completed the first part of your application you will receive a confirmation email from us.
You will then need to complete your full application prior to interview, adding information about any previous qualifications, evidence and further personal details.
You will also be able to upload an ID photo that will be used for your student ID. Guidance on what type of photos are acceptable is in the full application or your home Learner Hub account.
Applications for all 16-18 year olds
Following your confirmation email, if you have booked an interview at the time of your application you will receive a further email from us with your interview details, inviting you to the college for an interview and/or audition (if you are applying for a Performing Arts, Dance or Music course).
Applications for adult courses
Depending on the course you have applied for, you will either
- be asked to attend an interview/trial/assessment and we will be in touch to arrange a date/time
- or if there is a fee to be paid, you will be immediately directed to pay for your course through the Flywire portal (our third party payment provider). They will confirm your payment via email which includes a link to track your payment.

Your interview
This is an informal discussion to find out if you are suitable for the course and a chance for you to ask any questions about the course and the college. You will be asked about your favourite subjects at school/college, your hobbies and interests and your plans for the future. Please bring along your progress file or Record of Achievement, if you have one. It is also an opportunity for you to tell us about any additional help you may need or if you have any disabilities.
-
Conditional offer
If your interview/audition is successful, you will receive a conditional offer. This means that as long as you meet the entry requirements for the course and attend your allotted enrolment date, then you will secure your place on your course of choice.
The course’s entry requirements can be found on the specific subject course page.
If you are not made an offer at your interview/audition, we will discuss alternative options with you and if you are interested in a different course, we will arrange an interview for you with that course.
-
Application closing date
We do not have an official closing date for applications, but we advise that you apply as early as possible during the academic year to secure your place on the course you want to study.
-
Enrolment
Enrolment is the final stage of the application process and will take place from GCSE results day onwards.
During your Enrolment session, we add your details to the system to make you an official Harrow College student and finalising your place at the College.
Details about Enrolment will be sent to you via email in late-July/early-August. If possible, we ask that you try to avoid booking any holidays from GCSE results day onwards to be available to complete your enrolment process.
-
Your start date
Once you have been into the College to complete your enrolment you will be given your start date.
-
Applying for an Apprenticeship
Applying for an Apprenticeship is a little different to applying for A Levels or a vocational course. Apprenticeships are jobs with training and qualifications, so rather than applying for the course, you apply for the job. You can find out more about Apprenticeships and apply for vacancies on our HRUC website.

Do you need extra support?
Inclusive Learning Support and EHCPs
If you require Inclusive Learning Support or have an EHCP, please give us as much information as possible when you apply (there is a section about this in the online application form).
If you have an EHCP, please ensure that you inform your key worker at your local council and ask that they send your EHCP to our Inclusive Learning Support team.
Once we have your application, we will contact you to confirm your EHCP status and, if necessary, to remind you to complete the above process.
