There is so much more to college life than study. Ask any of our students and they will agree whole heartedly. Make new friends, develop your interests and gain new skills all while you are pursuing your studies.
We have a number of enrichment opportunities running throughout the year. These range from sports including table tennis, badminton and football to clubs such as the Film Making Club and the Enterprise Society. If you are interested in student politics then why not join the Harrow College Student Union or Student Council. For those with an interest in business our Raw Talent programme provides a unique opportunity to gain business skills. The college welcomes many external exhibitors and speakers and work shop events throughout the year on a wide variety of interesting topics for students to enjoy. Harrow College's enrichment programme has something for everyone.
We conduct many events within the college to celebrate student life and achievement.
Our Student Awards ceremony is held every June to rejoice not just students' academic achievements but also their contribution to various aspects of college life.
We also hold an annual graduation to celebrate the successful course completion of our Higher Education students.
At the Fresher's Fair held every September you can gain an insight into our college services, student groups and activities and our links with the local community organisations.
There's so much to college life. Our campuses are buzzing with all manner of activities that will help you make new friends, develop your interests and gain skills for your future.
Whether you fancy trying something new or improving your fitness, the enrichment program can help with this and more. All in all enrichment is a fantastic opportunity, whatever you want to get out of it.
If you're sporty, choose from team competitive sports such as football, basketball and cricket. Or there are recreational activities like tennis, basketball, volleyball, table tennis and much more.
Check out the Freshers' Fair in September to find out more and join up to the exciting activities on offer.
Clubs, societies and events
You can join programmes like Raw Talent which supports budding business men and women through business challenges and team events.
Visits and community service also add an extra perspective to your studies. In the past our students have been to art galleries and the theatre, law courts and parliament, as well as taking fun trips to Thorpe Park.
We make visits to universities and you also get the chance to talk with many popular universities at our annual Higher Education Fair. You can even talk directly to employers through our speed networking events.
Get clued up on your safety, health and finance at the fairs and workshops we run throughout the year, all part of our commitment to student welfare.
Become an ambassador
Sign up to the Student Ambassador Scheme and give us your support at one off events such as open days or school visits. You can also work regularly in one of our departments such as marketing or reception.
Student Union and Student Council
Our Student Union is run for students, by students. You can be elected as a Student Council Representative for your tutor group or as a member of the Student Union Executive Committee in the September elections. It's a chance to meet lots of new people and get a feel for what's going on across the College.
The Student Council is run by the Student Union and comes up with new policies and makes sure the Union is serving its students well.
Elections take place every year to appoint Executive Officers, a group of students, who together use their free time to run the Union. Executive Officers are there to help you, so whatever's on your mind you can get in touch.
You can find out more about the Student Union and the Student Council on the student portal once you've enrolled with us.
