If you're thinking about Apprenticeships you're thinking ahead. An apprentice will provide you with the skills you need for your future workforce.
You can shape a young employee from the beginning of their career with vocational training. Apprentices work with experienced staff to gain job specific skills and they usually attend college one day a week.
There are five elements to the Apprenticeship programme:
- A National Vocational Qualification
- Key skills and functional skills such as numeracy, literacy and I.T.
- A technical certificate
- Employee rights and responsibilities
- Personal learning and thinking skills.
Benefits of Apprenticeships
You will be developing your employee to meet your own particular business needs. On and off the job training means your apprentice will have key practical skills, as well as the technical knowledge, needed to drive your business forward.
The cost of an apprentice
All apprentices will earn on average £150 a week. Your business won't incur any training costs if your apprentice is aged between 16 and 18. You may also be able to obtain funding if they are under 23; we'll help you to access funding from the government.
