Entry Requirements

5 x GCSEs grade 9-4 (grade A- C) including English and maths or a relevant Level 2 qualification at merit or above. Students who have 4 x GCSEs grade 9-4 (grade A- C) including English and maths should apply and will be interviewed.

Who is the course for

Students who are at least 16-18 and are interested in careers in business. This is a two year Level 3 course and is designed to equip students to apply knowledge to business situations. It is equivalent to three GCE A levels.

Course Content

The course covers a range of Business concepts with a focus on Law. On this course, you will get the opportunity to attend a variety of talks and excursions related to your assignments to enhance your understanding of the Business world and the legal context under which it operates. All full-time students will have a personal tutor and access to a wide range of enrichment activities. Your course will give you an opportunity to develop skills in numeracy, literacy and communication, including speaking and listening skills.  Students w

How is the course assessed

Through the completion of 18 internally set and marked assignments. All units must be completed to at least Pass standard. Students will gain a triple award certificate of either/or grade Pass/Merit/Distinction (or a combination of these grades).

Where next - Further Studies

A triple merit grade or above from the course could take you on to a business related degree course in higher education. A double pass grade will provide entry on to a foundation degree course.

Where next - Job Opportunities

A double pass grade will make you eligible for a management trainee job.
