What's happening with EMA/ALG 2011/12?

As a full-time student you will be a member of a tutor group which meets every week and your progress will be monitored regularly. Targets will be agreed and monitored and if extra support is needed to ensure success, this will be available to you.

Support for Learning:

Our Learning Support Team offers help to students with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, literacy/numeracy problems, or medical problems. We also offer support if English is your second or other language. The Communication Support Unit is a Centre of Excellence for the education of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. The team of communicators support Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in all classes. Also a range of support is available from learning advisors, peer mentors and the Study Plus Club which is run in the Learning Centre on each campus.

Excellent careers and higher education advice

At Harrow College all students have access to our specialist Careers Advisors for help and specialist advice, so you can set about making the right decisions for your future.

The Learning Centre

The Learning Centre is a quiet area - there are tables for quiet individual study and a silent area. Both Learning Centres have networked computers offering a wide range of software, as well as access to the Internet. The book stock is regularly updated, and supports all the courses offered by the College; there are also some general interest and fiction materials. Also provided are magazines, daily newspapers, audiotapes, CDs and videos and DVDs.

Study Plus Club

The Study Plus Club in the Learning Centre on both campuses provides a quiet place to study with help and support available from teachers and peer mentors.
