Fun and Challenge
As well as providing you with a great opportunity to make new friends, we have a range of clubs and societies for you to join that are stimulating and fun. They’ll give you the chance to try out new experiences, or further an interest you already have. There are also opportunities to broaden and enhance your studies through visits and community service. Visits might include art galleries and the theatre, law courts and Parliament as well as trips abroad. Students also have the opportunity to take part in visits to universities and master classes as part of the Aim Higher Programme.
Opportunities include:
- Student politics and representation through the Student Union. Students have the opportunity to be elected as a Tutor Group Student Council Representative or as a member of the Student Union Executive Committee.
- Volunteering through the nationally recognised V Programme in association with Harrow Volunteer Centre.
- Peer Mentoring, where you will be trained and supported to mentor fellow students.
- College sport both competitive and sport for fun.
- Clubs and societies linked to areas of the curriculum such as Art, Dance, First Aid, Computing, Journalism, Music and Science.
- Clubs and societies aimed at enriching your personal experience at College and supporting you to develop your skills such as Driving Theory, Independent Life Skills, Christian Union, Islamic Society, Young Carers Group and Young Parents Group.
- Achievement of a Harrow College Silver or Gold Diploma and a Harrow College Progress File accredited by our partner universities Brunel, Hertfordshire, Middlesex and Westminster.
