Katherine McDonnell

"Katherine found the support from Harrow College excellent. She had been working but decided to futher her education and Harrow College really encouraged her to study. Katherine is now going on to study at university. "

  • Why should our son/daughter come to the College rather than a local Sixth Form?
  • The College offers choice and subject combinations that school Sixth Forms may not be able to offer, including over 30 A levels and a wide choice of vocational courses. Choosing a new college also gives students a fresh start and the opportunity to make new friends and have new experiences. The College life also makes them ready for higher education.

  • My son/daughter received extra support at school. Is this available at College?
  • Yes. Please tell us on the application form about the kind of support your son or daughter currently receives and we will ensure the support continues. We can provide one to one support and we also have expert learning advisors who work closely with students.

  • How can I be sure that my son/daughter is in College and studying?
  • An electronic register is taken at every lesson, so absences are immediately noted. Attendance is tracked carefully and followed up regularly by tutors who will get in touch if there is a concern. If you wish to, you can contact your son/daughters tutor at any time. In early November we hold a first review to update you on your son or daughter’s progress.

  • How can I be sure that my son/daughter is safe at College?
  • We have dedicated security teams who ensure that students study in a safe environment. All staff and students wear identification and this is checked on entry to campuses.
