Hospital patients receive beauty treatments

Harrow College's Beauty students provided voluntary treatments for the patients at Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow. Najat and Gladys pampered the patients in the accident ward, providing a variety of treatments making the patients' stay enjoyable.

Najat thought the experience was inspiring and encouraging, 'There were patients who had not come out of their wards for months, even a year. Some of them didn't even have regular visitors, so it felt really good to make them feel good. They were very appreciative of what we did.'

Najat and Gladys worked on ten patients giving them nail, hair and facial treatments. Feeling boosted by the admiring words from the patients, both of them look forward to volunteering again at the hospital.
