As students are thinking about their next steps and are busily completing their UCAS forms, we now have a full picture of where the students who have just left us progressed to.
Our 2011-12 students many of whom completed BTEC courses rather than traditional A-levels went to 101 different universities around the country including Aston, Bath, Sussex, Royal Holloway, Birmingham, King's College London and Cambridge. Some were mature students following access courses in a range of subjects including Humanities and Social Science, Nursing, Social Work and Computing.
They are now studying 260 different courses ranging from Psychology, Nursing, Engineering, and Anthropology to Business and Mathematics.
A number of our students were amongst those who progressed to our brand new HND courses in Applied Science, Business, Computing and Systems Development, Media, Film & TV Production and Art & Design. These 2 year courses offer an affordable alternative to university education with the option of joining the third year of a BA/ BSc on completion.
Of course not everyone decides to continuing studying and the majority of our other students have progressed directly into employment or apprenticeships.
