Harrow College’s Head of Development, Enterprise and Innovation, Steven Porter is currently visiting Bangladesh as part of an overseas admissions event.
The trip has allowed representatives of the College to meet and interview students who are interested in studying HNDs, the International Foundation Programme in Business of English as a Foreign Language at Harrow College.
Students were interviewed in the cities of Dhaka and Khulna. An advantage of meeting the students face to face is they have the opportunity to ask questions directly and gain more information about what it’s like to study in the UK and the support they will receive. Steven commented that “during the interviews students identified the great experiences previous students had had as being one of their main reasons for applying to Harrow College.”
The College is increasing its community of international students. Last year approximately 50 students from Bangladesh studied at Harrow College. Steven said “following the success of the trip I anticipate that the College will have in the region of 100 Bangladeshi students from September.”
This event is one in a series aiming to reach out to international students who are interested in studying in London. The next overseas admissions event will be held in Nepal in August, when Afshan Baksh will be visiting Kathmandu with Sunway Overseas Admission Consultants.
