Classes and qualifications for students who want to improve their English
ESOL classes are for residents and those seeking asylum in the UK wanting to improve their English language skills, whether to study, find work or just communicate more confidently.
All courses include communicating through speaking, listening, reading and writing; and incorporate Citizenship. You can learn English and train in a work-related area at the same time. All courses lead to a recognised qualification with a clear progression route through levels.
We have a range of courses on offer to suit your needs
Adult Courses:
Intensive
Full-time courses run 15 hours a week over 10 weeks
Part-time
Flexible 2 semester courses run during the day time for 17 weeks and evening classes run over 33 weeks
ESOL for Work
Twilight or Saturday sessions providing English with focus on work
Personalised Learning Module
4 hours a week course with flexible start date
Off site Community classes
ESOL classes offered off site in the community
Young Foundation Courses
Courses offered 15 hours a week over 34 weeks
Vocational Courses
Classes offered to vocational students doing Business, Science, IT and Preparation for Childcare
Basic Skills
Numeracy and Literacy classes offered on campus and off site
In addition to these courses, we are starting a new project Parents into Employment in partnership with the borough of Harrow.
