How many students go on to university?

We have an excellent record of students moving on to university almost 500 students progressed to university last year. If you decide this is the path you want to take, you’ll have the support of your tutors and the careers guidance team, who will help prepare you for university life.

If I do a vocational course can I move on to university?

We provide a strong route to higher education and offer a wide range of BTEC National Diplomas and Certificates which are well accepted by universities.

If I take a one year course and pass, what are my options?

After a one year course you can move on to various higher level courses at the College, and then on to university if you wish.

Will I have a tutor?

Every full-time student is a member of a tutor group and you’ll meet with your tutor every week. You’ll also have a catch-up interview with your tutor every term as part of an on-going system to review and record your progress and achievement.

What’s the timetable like?

The College day is from 9.00am to 5.15pm, so classes fall within these times. Your own particular timetable will depend on your individual programme of courses.

Will I still be able to play in a sports team?

The College has an excellent enrichment programme which includes the chance to play sports for fun or at a competitive level. When you are working out your timetable at enrolment let the interviewer know that you would like to play in a team.
