Entry Requirements
Details of entry criteria are given in the College prospectus for all courses and you should check the specific entry requirements for your chosen course. You can use course search (remember to search under full time courses or view our Prospectus for International Students).
Students applying from overseas will need to have the equivalent qualifications from their own country. We use the British Council International Guide to Qualifications in Education as a reference for identifying equivalent grades/qualifications.
We advise you to contact us before you apply for a course to see how your qualification compares with that in the U.K.
You can contact us at enquiries@harrow.ac.uk
You can also use UKNARIC to compare your qualifications. It is a national agency responsible for providing information and advice about vocational, academic and professional skills and qualifications from all over the world.
Level of English
As a general rule to study on a full-time course at the College applicants are expected to have achieved either IELTS Level 6 or Cambridge First Certificate. You will need to provide copies of all relevant certificates.
The College will also want to assess your written English and you should provide a piece of written work, at least one side of A4 paper, on the subject of “Yourself - your past, present and future”. This piece of work must be handwritten, not done on computer and not using spell check or a dictionary. This piece of work must be provided, even if you have the relevant qualifications.
If your level of English is not adequate for your chosen course the College will normally be able to offer you an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) course for either one term or one academic year, whichever is appropriate.
