Media, Music and Film
Have you ever wondered what influence the media has over you? This course looks not only at the media industry's impact on society but also how it constructs and influences youth identities.
We get stuck into topical media issues and debates surrounding the internet, film, advertising and video game industries, whilst also exploring how the media communicates meaning to its audiences.
You'll work on your own and in groups to critically analyse a range of media products. Then you have the chance to create your own media product, this might be a film opening sequence, music video or CD design. To give it a professional feel we'll introduce you to the latest technology, such as Final Cut Pro and In Design. We'll also encourage you to raise your profile by posting your work on digital blogs.
