Entry Requirements
Beginners, not suffering from a medical condition which might be exacerbated by physical manipulations. Please consult your doctor if you are in any doubt about your physical condition.
What will I study?
The course will ensure that students are familiar with the basic yoga postures, warm-up exercises, and yogic breathing and relaxation techniques. These exercises will continue to help them understand their bodies and minds. The yoga postures are based around the spine; working towards flexibility in forward, backward, lateral and rotational stretches. The theory behind the benefits of the postures and anatomy of breathing will be developed. Students will also work towards developing inverted postures and balancing exercises.

How do I Enrol?
If you are paying the standard fee you can enrol online at any time using your credit or debit card by following the instructions under Adult Courses @ www.harrow.ac.uk using the course search facility. You can also enrol in person at our Harrow Weald or Harrow on the Hill campuses at times shown in the Community Learning Prospectus and in our website. Those wishing to pay the concessionary fee will need to provide documentary evidence to prove their eligibility and must enrol in person. If you have any problems please contact our call centre on 020 8909 6000 who can offer guidance and assistance.
Key Skills and Tutorial Support
As part of your course and where the opportunity occurs literacy/numeracy together with speaking and listening skills will be developed.
Course Offer Conditions
Harrow College normally runs courses that are offered. However, courses that do not recruit to a satisfactory level may be withdrawn or closed. Please note 80 percent attendance or better is required to secure a college attendance certificate.
Fees and Refunds Policy
Fees payable are shown above or in the Prospectus for Adult Learners. Details of the concessions available and who may qualify are shown on the fees page on the web site and in the Prospectus for Adult Learners. If the College cancels a course before it starts you will be given a full refund. If a course closes for any reason the fees for the remaining part of the course will be refunded. If the college receives a written notice of withdrawal from you at least three working days before a course starts you will receive a refund of the tuition fees. (If you enrol within the three days prior to the start of the course you will not be entitled to a refund). All registration and examination fees are non-refundable. Residential and materials fees will only be refunded in exceptional circumstances.
