Art & Design
Explore your creativity, experiment with new materials, tools and techniques with our creative arts courses.
You'll be based at our dedicated centre for the creative arts on the Harrow Weald Campus. The centre is home to a host of specialist workshop facilities for 2D, 3D, multimedia, drawing and painting, photography, ceramics, graphic design and computer graphics. We've got computers in all rooms too, making it easy for you to research other artists and designers online.
Courses by Level
We'll inspire your creative work with current practice in arts and media as well as developing your practical production skills.
You'll also take part in our end of year creative arts show, which is attended by people from the local community and the industry. We make good use of our strong links with the industry, art schools and universities during the course. In the past our students have worked in collaboration with Central Saint Martins and Tate Britain. Trips are a great way of keeping you up to date with the latest trends and industry developments so we take you to events like fashion shows as well as exhibitions.
Creative arts courses
The Foundation Diploma in Art & Design will prepare you for a degree in art and design and is a bridge between Level 3 courses and the standard required by universities. During this year long course you can experiment with different art and design options. You'll also develop your critical and practical skills and build a strong art and design portfolio.
You've also got BTEC and A Level art courses in art and design to choose from, including architecture, product design, fashion and textiles, photography and graphic design. We'll also be launching an HND in Art and Design this September.
