Angshumonik Angbohang
A former Harrow College Science student, Angshumonik Angbohang is aiming for his dream of finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.

Angshumonik is currently studying Biochemistry at Imperial College London and hopes to pursue a PhD in Neuroscience after completing his degree. He cites Harrow College as being important to his success; ‘to be honest, if it weren’t for my teachers Sarita Bajaj (Chemistry), Tara Shiraji (Biology), Kathy Fry (Maths) and my personal tutor Ellen McDonald, I personally do not think I would have been able to get where I am; one of the most prestigious universities in the country studying something I love.’

He found his experience at Harrow College very enjoyable, finding the field trips particularly rewarding. ‘The Biology field trip we went on at the beginning of the second year was memorable. Although it was hard work the whole week, it was fun at the same time.’

Besides teaching, Angshumonik says there is more that the College offered him, ‘it showed me pathways which I thought were not possible before and helped to get the best out of me, as well as teaching me to do something meaningful in life using the skills I have obtained so far.’
